Disconnected

is the current state i'm in
a punishment?
a cruel sentence
for all my misbehaving?
for ignoring everybody
when they were in dire need
when they needed my help?
what else could it be?
disconnected
from every soul
unable to blend in
join the rest
join the wave
i am left with everything
all but the feeling
feeling of belonging
i am left wandering
wandering throught
the days and nights
watching the crowds
as they pass me by
all on their way
rushing
towards something
yet standing still
on their way
to them i am nothing
a silent observer
